Women’s Heart Health Walk, Leita Thompson Park

Join our friends from the Piedmont Women's Heart Health program for a spring sojourn to Roswell's Leita Thompson Memorial Park.   We’ll walk approximately 2 miles, on natural trails, enjoying the rich woodlands and lake. We'll  learn about the diverse species of trees and wildflowers found here, and share how to be stewards of our precious ecosystems. Volunteer – Grove Park/Proctor Creek

We invite Eco-A volunteers, neighbors and friends of Grove Park to participate in the continued restoration efforts of this special and unique old-growth forest remnant. Your volunteer work will help us remove invasive species carefully, without using any harsh treatments that could harm the native forest we are trying to restore. Simpsonwood Park

Simpsonwood Park, located near Peachtree Corners, hosts over 200 acres of woodlands adjacent to the Chattahoochee River, just above the deep bend north of Holcomb Bridge Road. This park includes mix of forest types, a broad network of trails, and a beautiful meandering stream that eventually drops into the Chattahoochee. Volunteer – D’Agnese Natural Area

Join us for a rare chance to visit a premiere Atlanta greenspace -- and help restore it! This unique area is a protected City of Atlanta Watershed Management property along Utoy Creek. This property contains a mix of ecosystems from floodplain to ridgetop, and it includes old growth forest remnants and a botanically rich slope that hosts many uncommon native species.  We'll enjoy a walk into the forest, visiting an interesting boulder outcrop, then we'll work remove some invasive species carefully…

Naturalist Bike Ride – Silver Comet Trail
