Simpsonwood Park, with Piedmont Women’s Heart Health

June 23 @ 9:00 am - 11:30 pm

We’re so happy to announce the 4th in our series of walks partnering with Piedmont Women’s Heart Support — and of course all walks in this partnership are open to everyone!

Simpsonwood Park, located near Peachtree Corners, hosts over 200 acres of woodlands adjacent to the Chattahoochee River, just above the deep bend north of Holcomb Bridge Road.

This park includes mix of forest types, a broad network of trails, and a beautiful meandering stream that eventually drops into the Chattahoochee. A crown of impressive oaks adorns the hilltop near the parking area.

We’ll walk approximately 2-2.5 miles, from ridge down to the river and back along the creek. We’ll stop to discuss interesting species and features and as we go – and we may hear, and possibly catch a glimpse of some of the nesting neotropical migrant songbirds that depend on this forest for their summer habitat.

To register (RSVP) click HERE  – Details and directions sent to registered participants (limit 15)

A donation of $20 or more helps sustain our programs.
