We'll enjoy a walk into the forest, visiting an interesting boulder outcrop, then we'll work remove some invasive…

Eco-A partners with Outdoor Afro on this walk in honor of Black History month. Lionel Hampton-Beecher Hills Nature Preserve is one of the largest parks in the City of Atlanta. Nestled in quiet, forested neighborhoods in the City's southwestern quadrant, Hampton Beecher Park holds remarkably large areas of healthy native forest, often with very few invasive species. This 200+ acre park had been slated for development but was purchased by the City park largely through the work of Bruce Morton…

"Go With the Flow," Utoy Creek in Herbert Greene Park, photo © Kat Anderson Herbert Greene Park is a little off the beaten path for most Atlantans, but it's truly a greenspace gem, located near the Boulder Park neighborhood, just outside the perimeter. Boulder Park is indeed named for the ancient, rounded rock formations found along the west side of Atlanta and extending through Palmetto, GA, and we'll see some of these in Herbert Greene. We'll walk on natural trails…
