Join us for a stroll through the old growth woodlands at Frazer Forest, a special tract of privately owned land which was originally part of the Fernbank Forest in the Lake Claire neighborhood near Druid Hills. We’ll discover several notable and rare species — even in the middle of the parking lot! — visit one of the oldest trees in metro Atlanta, and hopefully find some late blooming wildflowers.
Eco-A is contributing to new efforts to restore this neighborhood gem, and in addition to learning about the forest’s inhabitants, we’ll also discuss best approaches on how to restore our native landscape — which might even be found in your backyard.
