Help us restore this special old-growth forest remnant, in Atlanta’s Grove Park Neighborhood!
Your volunteer work will help us remove invasive species carefully, without using chemical sprays that could harm the native species. We’ll share the story of why this forest is so special, and we’ll end with a short walk to a beautiful section of Proctor Creek.
Our volunteers have already made great progress by eradicating 90% of the Kudzu outbreaks, and removing English Ivy from most trees – let’s finish off a few of these sections!
We’ll walk approximately 1/2 to 1 mile along natural trails with some off-trail locations. Please bring work gloves and wear sturdy shoes, and long pants and sleeves are recommended as we’ll be working in off-trail areas.
Please bring your own gloves, we can also provide you with used gloves, or you can purchase a brand new pair of gloves for $5 that you can take home with you – or use next time!
We supply all tools such as clippers, loppers, small saws, and digging tools.
