Help usher in the fall season with an Autumnal Equinox celebration of Atlanta’s forests!
We will gather at 4 p.m. at Martha Miller’s house in Midway Woods for a short, dynamic presentation on forests by Kathryn Kolb. Afterward, you can inspect the restoration in progress in Martha’s back yard, featuring remnants of the old-growth forest that skirted Shoal Creek.
The party will continue with refreshments and with musical entertainment, including songs sung by Tanya Povolny and a show by Atlanta’s incomparable acoustic guitar duo FLAP (FLAP’s CD “Novelty Stop” was named one of 5 best 2017 releases by Creative Loafing.
