Join us on our first Eco-A walk in the CNRA Gold Branch unit, which hosts 7 miles of trails through high value forests which in many locations have very few invasive species. Private Walks and Group Events with Eco-A In addition to our publicly announced naturalist walks, Eco-A offers walks and educational outings to companies, neighborhood associations, garden clubs, churches, friends of parks groups and others. We offer both general and themed walks for all ages in any greenspace. Sample themes include Native Tree Identification, Old Growth and Original Native Forest, Native Songbirds, Forest Intelligence and more. We also host fine art photography walks for young people and adults, and can provide cameras if needed.…

Please join Eco-A, Friends of South Bend Park and Sustainable Lakewood for a volunteer park restoration and clean-up day at South Bend Park! We’ll remove invasive species, and at the end of our session we’ll visit a beautiful section of the South River in the park. We’ll also share info about the special features of South Bend Park and Atlanta’s superlative urban forest. Eco-A partners with Joel Slaton, creator of the Doll's Head Trail in DeKalb County's Constitution Lakes greenspace. We'll visit the boardwalk and walk through the floodplain and Doll's Head Trail, which creatively exhibits a truly eclectic mix of objects found in the greenspace, including the namesake dolls' heads, often with themes of humorous social commentary and juxtapositions.
