Volunteer – Adams Park

Join Eco-A and your neighbors and friends of Adams Park to in helping to restore this historic West Atlanta greenspace gem. The native forest here retains remnants of the old growth forest from days it was owned by the Muscogee Creek Nation, only about 20 decades ago.  We'll focus on removing invasive species carefully from this high-value forest. Wildflowers in West Atlanta

Join us for wildflower walk in a little known greenspace gem located in an unmaintained cemetery along Hollywood Road near Proctor Creek. This greenspace offers a rare preserved woodland hilltop with almost no invasive species on the higher slopes. This true remnant of the original forest is a great place to view a wide variety of spring ephemeral wildflowers, several old growth trees, including very large sycamore "relic" trees in the floodplain of Proctor Creek.  We'll walk on un-maintained trails…
