The Pine Log Creek Trail is located in Bartow County in the southern rim of the North Georgia Mountains, northwest of Canton, GA. This walk features an impressive displays of native wildflowers, especially our region’s remarkable spring ephemerals. These include several species of Trillium as well as Showy Orchis, Bloodroot, Bellflower, and many others that tell the story of a rich Appalachian forest floor. A 4.5 mile loop-trail hike takes us through mixed forests and past rock formations, eventually leading to a small lake that remains from a past quarrying activities — the feeling is of an enchanted place. This trail is considered moderate and gains about 700 ft in elevation.
