In celebration of MLK Jr Day 2022, please join Eco-A, Hands-On Atlanta, and friends of Grove Park/Proctor Creek for a special volunteer park restoration and clean-up day at Grove Park!

We’ll pick up trash and remove invasive species, and at the end of our session we’ll visit a beautiful section of Proctor Creek. We’ll also share info about the special features of this exceptional natural area and Atlanta’s superlative urban forest.

We’ll walk approximately .5 – 1 miles on natural trails, and we’ll be working in off-trail locations and slopes. Please wear long sleeves, long pants, sturdy shoes, and work gloves as we may be working in shrubby areas.

Due to Covid-19 precautions, we are not currently re-using gloves, so please bring your own gloves, or we can provide a brand new, unused pair for $5 that you can take home with you (and use next time).

This is a Covid-safe event — we’ll be outdoors at all times following CDC recommended guidelines — those not vaccinated will need to wear masks when they are within 6 feet of others. And of course if you do not feel well, please consider joining us another time!

We’ll supply tools such as clippers, loppers, small saws, and digging tools.
