We invite Eco-A volunteers, neighbors and friends of Grove Park to participate in the continued restoration efforts of this special and unique remnant old-growth forest.
We’ll focus on removing invasive species carefully from this high value, old growth forest remnant. Master Naturalist Kathryn Kolb will show how to recognize high-value forest areas and we’ll end with a short walk to a beautiful section of Proctor Creek.
We’ll walk approximately 1-1.5 miles on natural trails along with some off-trail locations. Please wear long sleeves, long pants, closed toed-shoes, and work gloves are recommended.
Due due Covid-19 precautions, we are not currently re-using gloves, so please bring your own gloves, or we can provide a brand new, un-used pair for $5 you can take home with you (and use next time!)
We’ll supply tools such as clippers, loppers, small saws, and digging tools.
