Evening Walk with Novelist Meredith Walters

April 6 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Join us for an evening walk in Hahn Woods, near Emory University, with Atlanta novelist Meredith Walters, where we’ll explore what it means to create in collaboration with the natural world. Walters’ upcoming novel, This Animal Body, tells the story of a sensitive young woman who rediscovers the hidden gifts of her forgotten inner nature. The book has deep ties to our local metro Atlanta forests where Meredith walked regularly while writing the story, and which inspired some of the most important scenes in the novel.

In homage the important night-time forest scenes, we’ll walk as day turns to to dusk, pausing for readings from This Animal Body and tapping into the kinds of experiences that inspired Meredith’s writings and the woodland magic that helped create the book.

We’ll walk approximately 1/2 – 1 mile on natural trails – bring a flashlight!
