SUMMARY:Evening Walk with Novelist Meredith Walters
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an evening walk in Hahn Woods\, near Emory University\, with Atlanta novelist Meredith Walters\, where we’ll explore what it means to create in collaboration with the natural world. Walters’ upcoming novel\, This Animal Body\, tells the story of a sensitive young woman who rediscovers the hidden gifts of her forgotten inner nature. The book has deep ties to our local metro Atlanta forests where Meredith walked regularly while writing the story\, and which inspired some of the most important scenes in the novel. \nIn homage the important night-time forest scenes\, we’ll walk as day turns to to dusk\, pausing for readings from This Animal Body and tapping into the kinds of experiences that inspired Meredith’s writings and the woodland magic that helped create the book.\nWe’ll walk approximately 1/2 – 1 mile on natural trails – bring a flashlight!\nTo register (RSVP) click HERE  – Details and directions sent to registered participants (limit 15)\nA donation of $15 or more helps sustain our programs.\n \n  \n\nMore about Meredith Walters\nMeredith is a lifelong nature lover and enthusiastic Eco-A participant. As a career coach\, she helps people find their wild calling by tapping into the intelligence of their bodies and remembering their true nature. \n\n\nAs an author\, she writes stories that aim to reconnect us to ourselves\, other people\, and the wider\, living world. Born and raised in Atlanta\, Meredith lived in the San Francisco Bay Area for 15 years before returning to the beloved forests of her hometown. She now lives with her husband in Dekalb County near her human and more-than-human family.\nFor more about Meredith\, visit meredithwalters.com.                                             To purchase her book\, visit: https://meredithwalters.com/books/\n
