Autumn Walk and Talk – Chattahoochee River Trail

September 17, 2022 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Chattahoochee National Recreation Area Naturalist Walk with Kathryn Kolb

To attend please register with the Chattahoochee National Park Conservancy: HERE

Identify trees, nuts, and beautiful fall wildflowers along the Chattahoochee River and on higher ridges. Learn to read the flood plain and ridge landscapes by observing the plants that grow there. What forces shaped the habitats we walk through today?  What role does forest intelligence play in supporting a healthy forest?

Kathryn Kolb, Director of EcoAddendum, will lead a relaxed walk down a wooded trail, along the Chattahoochee River, and along the ridges. There are several strenuous, up-hill sections. This 2- to 3-mile, easy to moderate hike is at West Palisades/ Akers Mill. Ages 10 and up. Please no dogs. Limit:15

Guide: Kathryn Kolb is a naturalist and fine art photographer of natural forms and landscapes, and Director of Eco-Addendum.
