Lionel Hampton-Beecher Hills Stewardship Walk

Eco-A partners with James Tyler and Friends of Lionel Hampton-Beecher Hills Nature Preserve for a Stewardship naturalist education & volunteer work session. Note: Participation in this Stewardship session counts as credit toward completion of our new on-line Eco-Literacy course. We'll begin this walk at the Cativo Drive trailhead rather than the Willis Mill trailhead to the park. Morningside Park Stewardship with Ga Tech Trailblazers

Join EcoA and the Georgia Tech Trailblazers for a session of Japanese Chaff Flower removal along the trails at Morningside Park. Bear Creek Nature Preserve

The new Bear Creek Nature Center and trails complex is located in South Fulton County at the same location as the previous Cochran Mills Nature Center. Grove Park Proctor Creek Stewardship Walk

We invite Eco-A volunteers, neighbors and friends of Grove Park to participate in the continued restoration efforts of this special and unique remnant old-growth forest. Magnificent Mast: Oak, Hickory, Walnut, Beech

In forestry "mast" refers to the fruits of woody plants, especially the nuts produced by trees. Much of our native wildlife depend on on the trees that produce nuts including bears, deer, wild turkeys, ruffed grouse, raccoons, foxes, as well as squirrels, chipmunks and smaller forest mammals. Picnic Hike at Pine Mountain

Pine Mountain is an unusual ridge that stands above the landscape in West Central Georgia reaching nearly from the Chattahoochee to the Flint River.
