Frazer Forest

This volunteer opportunity just popped-up, and it's this Friday from 1-3pm. We'll focus on removing invasive Japanese Chaff Flower and possibly Liriope in this short, targeted session. We'll also have a chance to walk in the forest, especially to visit the ancient Tulip Poplar.   Note: Participation in this Stewardship Walk counts as credit toward completion of our on-line Eco-Literacy course, click here for details. Briarlake Forest Wisteria Pull

Come join our partners at Briarlake Forest tackle a patch of invasive Wisteria -- and we'll collect some of the vines for baskets. Wisteria vines are quite flexible when green, yet they are tough and fibrous and great for crafting baskets. The vines take shape well, then dry for sturdy, long-serving pieces.  Non-native Chinese Wisteria is one of the most aggressive invasive species, and when left unchecked, will over-grow even the largest trees, eventually killing them. South Bend Park

Eco-A joins Friends of South Bend Park and Sustainable Lakewood in new efforts to restore this special Atlanta park located in South Atlanta near the Lakewood Amphitheatre. Grove Park Proctor Creek Stewardship

We invite Eco-A volunteers, neighbors and friends of Grove Park to participate in the continued restoration efforts of this special and unique remnant old-growth forest. We'll focus on cutting English Ivy from trees and removing some from the ground in the old growth forest area, since this season allows us to work safely in more sensitive areas. Grove Park Proctor Creek Stewardship
