Join us for a richly informative walk to educate homeowners and all residents about the easy-to-tell signs a tree might become a fall risk. Trees don't fall for no reason! A tree falling should never be a surprise, and should not happen when we check our trees for signs of problems. Nearly all trees will tell you they are having challenges years before they fail -- if you know what signs to look for. On this informative walk at Fair Oaks…

Find out more »Glen Emerald Park
Join us for a walk through DeKalb County's Glen Emerald Park, located just south of East Atlanta in the South River Watershed. This park hosts open recreation areas as well as a native forest with lake and wetlands that attracts a surprisingly high diversity of birds. Find out more »Herbert Greene Park
Herbert Greene Park is one of Atlanta's less well-known parks, located just outside I-285 in the Boulder Park neighborhood. We'll walk approximately 1.5-2 miles on natural surface trails along the banks of Utoy Creek, which at this point has developed the character of a small river.…

We'll walk approximately 2-2.5 miles on natural trails with some hills. We'll have the opportunity to test our winter tree ID skills, and we may take a short off trail creek walk. Find out more »Sandhill Cranes, Cherokee History, TN Hike
Eco-A again offers our signature event with Quentin Bass, recently retired Archaeologist, Heritage Manager and Tribal Liaison for the Cherokee National Forest, on a day-long visit to a special area near the intersection of the Tennessee and Hiwassee Rivers. The Tennessee-Hiwassee river confluence was a Native American center for thousands of years, and was an important hub for early American interstate transportation and commerce (which focused on major rivers before trains and automobiles), and a critically strategic military site. It was…
