Event Navigation
Hampton/Beecher Nature Preserve – 12:30 pm – 3:30 pm (this walk is FULL, please join us for more upcoming walks)
Join us for a leisurely stroll through part of the Hampton-Beecher Nature Preserve, an impressive nearly 20- acre greenspace bordering North Utoy Creek, only a 10-minute drive west from downtown Atlanta. We’ll enjoy a rich diversity of trees, from oaks and hickories on the drier hill tops to species more loving of the waterway along the Creek. By Oct 26, we should be seeing some great fall color and it’s a perfect opportunity to focus on the remarkable variety of trees native to our area. We may also see migrating songbirds and signs of other wildlife along the way.
Note: the first part of our walk is wheelchair accessible.
