Aerotropolis Nature Park with Piedmont Women’s Heart Health

October 18 @ 1:30 am - 4:00 pm

Join Eco-A and our friends at Piedmont Women’s Heart Health at this relatively new 48-acre park gem located in SW Atlanta/Fulton County. It’s owned by the Southeastern Trust for Parks and Land, and much of the property retains high value native forest, including a high biodiversity of trees, older trees and other old growth indicators. Over 3 miles of trails are designed for mountain biking and walking, mostly traveling along the upper ridge and forested slopes.

We’ll walk approximately 2-2.5 miles on natural surface trails that include some hills but mostly gentle slopes. We’ll see a great variety of native trees, including significant stands of Black Oak on the ridges to majestic Beech trees on the lower slopes that reach down toward a small stream.
