Join us for a richly informative walk to educate all residents and homeowners about the easy-to-tell signs a tree might become a fall risk.

Trees don’t fall for no reason! A tree falling should never be a surprise, and should not happen when we check our trees for signs of problems. Nearly all trees will tell you they are having challenges years before they fail — if you know what signs to look for.

On this informative walk we’ll show the key indicators a tree may be struggling, or at risk of breaking or falling. We’ll show the distinctive growth forms, certain visible fungi, and how invasive vines can create a fall risk, while native vines do not. Everyone should be able to look at the trees in their yard or neighborhood and know when it’s time to call a Certified Arborist for help — or rest assured their tree is healthy. We’ll also explain the differences between ISA Certified Arborists and tree cutters, so you’ll know which services you might – or might not – need. 

We’ll also share many interesting facts about how trees work, and their role in our neighborhood urban forests.
