Accidents of history gave Atlanta a forest unlike other major cities. Learn how our area retains many places that hold original forest remnants, such as Woodlands Garden, why they are so special, and how to recognize these areas in your neighborhood or even your own backyard!

Private Walks and Group Events with Eco-A

In addition to our publicly announced naturalist walks, Eco-A offers walks and educational outings to friends of parks groups, garden clubs, neighborhood associations, schools, church groups, clubs,  businesses, schools, after school programs, summer camps and festivals. We host:                    

       • general and themed walks for all ages in any greenspace. Sample themes include Native Tree Identification, Old Growth and Original Native Forest, Native Songbirds, Forest Intelligence and more.

• nature photography walks, and we can provide cameras if needed.

• intensive stewardship workshops and trainings for native and invasive species identification and invasive species removal techniques.

• work/learn volunteer eco-restoration sessions in parks and greenspaces
