Invasive plant removal training – Tucker Nature Preserve

September 29, 2018 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Help Friends of Tucker Parks remove Japanese chaff flower and other invasive species from Tucker Nature Preserve.

Please read more about this aggressive pest plant species in our new blog post: https://www.ecoaddendum.org/japanese-chaff-flower-a-silent-crisis-lurking-on-georgia-trails/

You’ll want to help remove this plant from neighborhood parks, streets and backyards. It is being spread quickly by seeds which easily stick to dogs’ fur or shoes and socks. Always check your dog’s fur for seeds and never allow them to spread from one park to another location.

Eco-A provides training in how to ID both native and non-native tree and plant species, and how to remove invasive species. Join us for an afternoon volunteer session, 2-4 pm.
