Fine Art of Nature – Hampton-Beecher
May 11, 2014 @ 1:30 pm - 4:00 pm
Hampton Beecher Nature Preserve Sun May 11th – 1:30 – 4:00 pm
We’re hosting 3 Fine Art of Nature Walks in conjunction with Kathryn Kolb’s Dynamic Symmetry photography exhibit at Trees Atlanta/Kendada Center on April 17. Kathryn and Jessica Muhammad will focus on the artistic forms and geometry found in the designs of plants and trees, and how art can be used as a tool to understand healthy ecosystems.
Join Kathryn Kolb and EcoAddendum for an art-oriented naturalist outing that is fully accessible by wheelchair along the Lionel Hampton Trail in the Hampton Beecher Nature Preserve in SW Atlanta. We’ll likely hear the songs of nesting migratory songbirds while we investigate the interesting geometry found in wildflowers, trees and native plants. And we’ll share interesting perspectives on how we can understand about healthy, bio-diverse ecosystems through beauty and art.
Walk is free, to RSVP click here and, don’t forget to bring your camera!
