Large granite boulders, some of them seventeen feet tall, are scattered along a ridge in a well established hickory, oak, and beech woodland. This woodland hosts a broad representation of wildflower species, native shrubs, trees, and a large range of smaller wildlife from toads, fish and skinks to the larger hawks and deer.
