SUMMARY:Winter Architecture of Trees - Feb 6
DESCRIPTION:Lullwater Conservation Garden\nNaturalist and Photography Walk\, 10 AM to noon (this walk is full\, now taking wait list)\nJoin us for a special walk among the Old Growth champion trees at the Lullwater Conservation Garden. In addition to learning to recognize native trees by their bark and branches\, we’ll take our appreciation of tree forms into the realm of art and photography. Often the architecture of trees can be appreciated even more in the winter season. We’ll discuss the symmetry of nature and focus on taking pictures that highlight the design aspects of trees both great and small. Several of the trees we’ll visit are approximately 200 years old or more\, dating back to our region’s original forest. Graceful Beech and gargantuan Tulip poplar trees are found here along with a high diversity of other species including Black gum\, Silverbell\, and American elm. Bring your camera or we’ll provide one for you.\nThis walk is part of our City of Atlanta Photography of Nature outing series where our walk participants’ photographs are selected for a photography show opening at Atlanta City Hall in May\, 2016. For more information on how to participate in Eco-A’s 2016 photography show see Nature Photography Show\, or contact us.\n To register (RSVP) click HERE  – details and directions will be sent to registered participants.\nA donation of $15 or more helps sustain our programs.\nNote: Our Eco-A Nature Photography Show 2015 was so successful that the City of Atlanta permanently installed the photographs on the 5th floor of the Atrium at Atlanta City Hall\, just outside the café. So go grab a cup of coffee and enjoy the inspiring images and quotes from the Eco-A community!\n\n\n
