DESCRIPTION:Join Eco-A and your neighbors and friends of Adams Park to in helping to restore this historic West Atlanta greenspace gem. The native forest here retains remnants of the old growth forest from days it was owned by the Muscogee Creek Nation\, only about 20 decades ago. \nWe’ll focus on removing invasive species carefully from this high-value forest\, and we’ll show how to recognize old growth forest remnants at Adams Park\, including key trees and native plants. \nVolunteers have already made great progress this year on removing Chinese Wisteria\, Japanese Chaff Flower\, Privet\, Liriope and other invasives – let’s continue to repair and restore the creek corridor and native forest at Adams Park!\nNote: Participation in this Stewardship session counts as credit toward completion of our online Eco-Literacy course. Click here for details.\nWe’ll walk approximately 1/2 mile in natural areas.
