SUMMARY:Southside Park Trails
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an urban hike of about 3 miles along the forested trails at Southside Park. This trail network\, often used by mountain bikers\, is part of an extended forest area not far from Lake Charlotte Preserve. Joel Slaton\, who spent his youth exploring woodlands in Atlanta’s southeast quadrant will co-lead our walk\, and may be able to take us to the ruins of an old trolley car. Deer and other wildlife thrive in this greenspace which typically hosts fewer visitors than many of Atlanta’s better known parks.
