SUMMARY:South Bend Park - Volunteer with Greenspace Restoration Corps
DESCRIPTION:Join us in helping remove invasive species from South Bend Park! \nSouth Bend Park is located in southeastern Atlanta neighborhoods and hosts important headwaters of the South River\, one of the two major Georgia river systems originating in metro Atlanta. The park contains a variety of ecosystems\, as well as recreational areas\, and we’ll help remove invasive species to restore native bio-diversity.  \nWe’ll walk 1/4 – 1/2 mile in open areas as well as forested areas\, on both paved walkways and off-trail. Please wear sturdy\, close-toed shoes\, and long pants and sleeves are recommended as we’ll be working in woodland areas.\nPlease bring your own gloves\, we can also provide you with used gloves\, or you can purchase a brand new pair of gloves for $5 that you can take home with you – or use next time!\nWe supply all tools such as clippers\, loppers\, small saws\, and digging tools.  \n \nTo register (RSVP) click HERE – details and directions sent to registered participants. \nA donation of $15 or more helps support our programs.\n
