DESCRIPTION:Old oaks near Grove Park/Proctor Creek \nEco-A and West Atlanta Watershed Alliance invite you to join us in a volunteer learn/work day removing invasive species from a special original forest remnant at Grove Park and Proctor Creek greenspaces.\nWe’ll have a short intro to the unusually high value of the urban forest in this special part of the Proctor Creek corridor\, followed by a training on how to remove invasive species such as privet\, autumn olive\, English ivy and others — these techniques will work well in your backyard too.\nAfternoon session 1:00 – 4:00\nThere is no fee to attend\, but please RSVP here – make sure to specify the date you wish to attend.\nDonations for our programs are welcomed here.\nQuestions? call 404-752-5385 or 404-862-0118 \nThis project is supported in part by the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation 5-Star Program\n
