SUMMARY:Relict Forest Restoration\, Proctor Creek
DESCRIPTION:Can you tell the difference between Wild Ginger and English Ivy? \nEco-Addendum is looking for volunteers to help with a special restoration project located in an original forest remnant at Grove Park and Proctor Creek greenspace. We invite you to join us as we target a steep slope\, notable for it’s special native plant community. This work session will be focused on detailed and careful removal of English Ivy around the sensitive high-value native plants such as Wild Ginger.\nWe’ll have a short intro to the high value of this unusual original forest remnant\, followed by a training on how to safely remove English Ivy in more sensitive forest areas. This type of work is perfect for developing a keen eye for identifying and distinguishing some of our native plants from the more common invasives. After ivy removal\, we will enjoy a short walk along the beautiful Proctor Creek.\n  \n  \nTo register (RSVP) click HERE – details and directions sent to registered participants. \nA donation of $15 or more helps support our programs.\nQuestions? 404-862-0118\n
