SUMMARY:Morningside Nature Preserve - Nature Photography Walk
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, July 16\nLocation: Morningside Nature Preserve in Atlanta\nMorningside Nature Preserve is truly a gem of forest found in Atlanta’s east side neighborhoods. This large park is bordered by the North Fork of Peachtree Creek and hosts hill-top forest with hickory and Paw Paw to classic bottom land hardwoods\, sycamore\, elm and eastern cottonwoods. Our walking trail takes us through mature hardwoods and a wildflower meadow in the power easement then descends via a long stair and boardwalk to a wetland trail and new suspension bridge spanning the creek\, which has really become a small river in this location\, with characteristic sandbar and bluff banks. \nWe’ll walk slowly\, approximately 1.5 – 2 miles on natural trails that includes some steep terrain\, and boardwalk with stairs.
