DESCRIPTION:Langford Park\nNature Photography Walk\ntime: 9:30 – 11:30 AM \nlocation: Arthur Langford Jr. Park \nNamed for Atlanta City Councilman and State Senator Arthur Langford\, Jr.\, this medium-sized park is built around one of the major tributaries of Atlanta’s South River\, and is the site of one of the City’s most significant new constructed wetlands projects. Native streamside trees such as sycamore\, elms and willow are found here along with an unusually large colony of Spiderwort plants in addition to Dewberry and other native species. Red-headed woodpeckers – one of the most beautiful birds found in our area – nest in the park.
