DESCRIPTION:JAN 26 – Sope Creek\, Woods & River\nSunday\, 1:00 – 3:30 PM\nCost: No cost for this event — though we suggest a donation of $15 or more to help fund high quality programs \nLocation: Chattahoochee National Recreational Area\, North Atlanta \nThis walk takes us through maturing native woodlands in the western corner of the Chattahoochee National Recreation Area. A variety of forest types are present\, including pond/wetlands and higher ridges that drop down to the rocky river corridor. Highlights include beautiful smaller tributary creeks and steep slopes with mature Beech\, also notable are Oak-Hickory uplands and presence of Mountain Laurel and Maple-Leaf Viburnum.
