DESCRIPTION:JAN 25\, 2014  – Winter Tree Walk and Ivy Pull\nVolunteer Event \nSaturday 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM\nSuggested Donation: $15.\nLocation: Hampton-Beecher Nature Preserve\, Atlanta\nWe’ll do a short 45 min to 1 hr walk highlighting winter forest facts and how to know many species of trees without looking at their leaves! Then we’ll spend about 1.5 hours very carefully pulling English Ivy off of a bank that contains sensitive native wildflowers and a majestic Tulip Poplar tree that has survived more than a century and has the scars to prove it. All are welcome for either the walk and/or to help pull ivy.
