DESCRIPTION:Nov 16 – Herbert Greene Park\n\nNaturalist Walk\nTime: 1:30 – 4:00 PM \nLocation: Herbert Greene Park\, Atlanta\, GA \nHerbert Greene Park is so great we just can’t stay away — if you missed our earlier outing to Herbert Greene\, don’t miss your chance to join us for this one!  \nThis less well-known greenspace located just outside I-285 in the geologically unique section of Atlanta’s western suburbs that include Boulder Park and Fulton County’s Boat Rock Nature Preserve. Surface outcrops of rounded\, ancient boulders are found in the park as well as in the surrounding neighborhood. \nA strikingly beautiful section of Utoy Creek traverses Herbert Greene\, and we’ll follow the trail along Utoy Creek and its large tributary stream. This greenspace holds on to its rural character\, and contains a diverse native forest rich with creeks and wetlands. More wildlife than is usual for an urban zone call this natural area home\, from deer to tiny tree frogs and likely everyone in between.
