SUMMARY:Grove Park Tree Diversity & Stewardship
DESCRIPTION:Join Eco-A for a tree diversity walk and volunteer session in one of Atlanta’s special remnant old-growth forests. Master Naturalist Kathryn Kolb will share tips on how to identify a variety of different tree species. The diversity of tree species is one of the characteristics that makes this greenspace so special.   \n\nAfter an informative walk we will work together to remove invasive English Ivy\, targeting forest trees affected by this climbing vine. English Ivy blocks critical sunlight that is important in our ecosystem\, it also adds weight and wind resistance that can be detrimental to tree health. Work alongside friends and neighbors to continue to restore this park and learn skills that can be applied to any forest or woodland area in our region – maybe even your backyard. \nTo register (RSVP) click HERE – details and directions sent to registered participants. \nA donation of $15 or more helps support or programs.\n
