SUMMARY:Grove Park Proctor Creek Stewardship Walk
DESCRIPTION:We invite Eco-A volunteers\, neighbors and friends of Grove Park to participate in the continued restoration efforts of this special and unique remnant old-growth forest.\nWe’ll focus on removing invasive species carefully from this high-value forest. We’ll show how to recognize these high-value forest areas\, and we’ll end with a short walk to a beautiful section of Proctor Creek or walk thru the high forest near the ridgeline. \nNote: Participation in this Stewardship session counts as credit toward completion of our online Eco-Literacy course. Click here for details.\nWe’ll walk approximately .5 – 1 miles on natural trails along with some off-trail locations. Please wear long sleeves\, long pants\, sturdy shoes\, and work gloves are recommended.\nDue to Covid-19 precautions\, we are not currently re-using gloves\, so please bring your own gloves\, or we can provide a brand new\, unused pair for $5 that you can take home with you (and use next time).\n \nWe’ll supply tools such as clippers\, loppers\, small saws\, and digging tools.  \nTo register (RSVP) click HERE – details and directions sent to registered participants. \nA donation of $15 or more helps support our programs.\n  \n
