SUMMARY:Grant Park with FLUX Projects
DESCRIPTION:Join Eco-A and FLUX Projects for a “Trees and Art” walk led by Eco-A Director and fine art nature photographer Kathryn Kolb. \nKathryn introduces the special quality of Atlanta’s Urban Forest\, highlighting the character and value of many of the tree species found in Grant Park. She then explains how the beautiful patterns and shapes we notice in trees are actually based on the same geometrical forms we find in aesthetic fine art and design. She’ll also share tips about making photographs from iphones to film cameras.\nWe’ll meet at 9:45 at the intersection of Cherokee Ave and Sydney Street\, and walk about 1 mile total. \nThis event is offered as part of FLUX Projects in Grant Park. For more information about FLUX and events\, including and works and performances by regional artists\, scheduled Thurs Sept 27 – Sun Sept 30\, see: http://fluxprojects.art/event/flux-grant-park-events/\n \n\nTo register (RSVP) click HERE \nDetails and directions sent to\nregistered participants.\n\nA donation of $15 or more helps our programs.\nPhotographs © Kathryn Kolb\, above\, Sycamore tree; at right\, Elm 2. \n
