SUMMARY:Brunch with Debra
DESCRIPTION: \nThis walk is full – now taking wait list\nJoin us for a very special event hosted by Debra Pearson at her private forest in Southwest Atlanta’s College Park neighborhood. \nDebra will share her lemons-to-lemonade story of how a neighbor’s tree-cutting tragedy actually inspired her to protect and restore her own 1-acre forest\, which holds an astonishing degree of biodiversity\, including many tree species anduncommon native Georgia plants. Her backyard forest has been certified as wildlife habitat by the National Wildlife Federation and the Atlanta Audubon Society. If every metro-Atlanta homeowner did as Debra does\, we’d have a city amidst its own Garden of Eden. \nWe’ll do a short walk along Debra’s forest trails after enjoying a full home-cooked Southern breakfast of no less than — homemade salmon croquettes\, scrambled eggs\, buttermilk biscuits\, grits\, OJ\, coffee and tea. \nFee $10\, Limit 10 \nDebra Pearson on Eco-A kayak trip\, photo by Tony Thaxton\, Jr. \nTo register (RSVP) click HERE – details and directions sent to registered participants. \nA donation of $15 or more helps support our programs.\n
