Stewardship Walk – Grove Park

April 14, 2018 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Eco-A is offering series of Stewardship Walks designed to train local residents and stakeholders in becoming experts on their neighborhood parks and greenspaces, learning their unique character, secrets, and value both for the metro-Atlanta and and for our  — from knowing trees, birds and wildlife to how to remove invasive species and keep parks and greenspaces healthy and sustainable for the future. We’ll teach how to recognize old growth trees and original forest remnants, special native plants, bird calls, animal tracks and much more. All learning takes places out-of-doors, in neighborhood parks and greenspaces.

As a part of this program, we also offer Stewardship Certification, from beginning to advanced levels, and our training sessions are open to adults and young people 12 years old and up. (Especially interested and motivated young folks are welcome as well.) We also offer special programming just for youth groups.

Stewardship walks are limited to 1o attendees per session, usually $10 fee to attend.
