Join EcoA and the Georgia Tech Trailblazers for a session of Japanese Chaff Flower removal along the trails at Morningside Park. We’ll of course include some naturalist training and we’ll provide tools.
This park is heavily used by dog-walkers, which is how Japanese Chaff Flower is spreading so quickly on our parks and yards. This park definitely needs your help!
Morningside Nature Preserve is located in the neighborhood near the intersection of Piedmont and Cheshire Bridge Roads, and it hosts a significant section of the South Fork of Peachtree Creek, and we’ll also see an excellent diversity of native trees including a large patch of Paw Paw. We’ll walk about 2-2.5 miles and try to clear all outbreaks of JCF along key trail sections.
