This walk is full; now taking a wait list
“Lullwater. The name evokes a sense of peaceful, hazy drift. And that is indeed how you feel, passing through the stone-pillared gateway on noisy Clifton Road into the forested preserve and walking down the gently sloping roadway to the meadow, with the lake just visible on the horizon. The clatter of the kingfisher swooping over the water and cries of the red-shouldered hawks gliding above slowly begin to muffle the sounds of traffic and trains left at the gates.”
So writes Eco-A’s special guest Nancy Seideman, Associate Vice President of Media Relations at Emory, and author of a soon-to-be-published book about Emory’s signature greenspace, Lullwater Preserve. This historic property stretches from Clifton Road and the older Emory campus nearly all the way to Clairmont Road by the VA Hospital.
Join us on a naturalist walk, approximately 1.5 -2 miles, in this special greenspace, as Nancy shares her transformative story and insights inspired by her many years of walking and reflecting along the park’s trails through all seasons.
