Fine Art of Nature – Morningside Preserve

May 31, 2014 @ 9:00 am - 11:30 pm

Morningside Nature Preserve  Sat May 31th   –  9:00 – 11:30 am

This walk is full – now taking wait list!

We’re hosting 3 Fine Art of Nature Walks in conjunction with Kathryn Kolb’s Dynamic Symmetry photography exhibit at Trees Atlanta/Kendada Center on April 17.  One each walk, Kathryn and Jessica Muhammad will focus on the artistic forms and geometry found in the designs of plants and trees, and how art can be used as a tool to understand healthy ecosystems.

Join Kathryn Kolb and EcoAddendum for an art-oriented naturalist walk in the Morningside Nature Preserve near Atlanta’s Virginia Highlands neighborhood. This greenspace features a maturing forest of diverse hardwoods and access to the South Fork of Peachtree Creek, just before it joins the North Fork to become Peachtree Creek, at that point more of a small river, that runs on to join the Chattahoochee. There is a great diversity of trees on this site, and we’ll focus on their distinct forms and share interesting perspectives on how we can understand much about healthy, bio-diverse ecosystems through beauty and art.

Walk is free, to RSVP click here and, don’t forget to bring your camera!   –   meeting details and directions sent to registered participants
